Our day at the Brooklyn Flea, in photos!
While some New Yorkers were gearing up for Fashion Week, we were gearing up for our weekly stand at the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Green. Our tent pales in comparison to the one that gets propped up in Bryant Park, but the fashionistas… vintagistas were out in full form. Even though the weather tried to rain on our parade, we had so much fun at the flea today. We were most excited to debut some 80s glam earrings, as well as a fall-inspired set of bags.
It also dawned on us today that we derive a huge deal of our weekday fashion inspiration from what we see at the flea. Going forward happyhillvintage.com will be bringing you a weekly segment we want to call “Flea-spotting.” We want to capture one trend that we’re seeing over and over again at the market.
This week’s *FLEA-SPOTTING*: Vintagista Chic (no surprise, here). Check out the awesome outfit of a local seller at the market (see slideshow). From the harem pants (flea), to the leather jacket and cross body (thrifted), she’s a walking homage to old school hauteness.
